Since I’ve last talked to you guys I have been trying to incorporate more healthy habits into my life. I wanted to update you and tell you what is currently happening. I really struggled with fatigue the last 5 years of this journey so that’s why I’d go in and out of my blog and social media. But I have GREAT news! Everything is continuing to improve and I have A LOT more energy so I’ll be able to try and make this blog a regular thing again. Especially since we aren’t going anywhere in quarantine. I even have gotten into healthy habits and changed my lifestyle up.
As usual, I wanted to do some life updates and then my content will proceed to be different. My big news is that this blog is going to be rebranded into more of a lifestyle blog that many more people can relate to and not just focus on my health. The reason I’ve decided to do this is because things are going so well, and I am living the same life as everyone else (with a few differences but that’s beside the point). I am still outlining a plan for my blog but I have the first bit down.
Here’s What is Happening Right Now…
Currently, I am creating healthy habits and a great life for myself since I am a year out of college. Growing up is hard and when you have to become an adult you have a lot of things to figure out. No one told me how hard it was going to be to find a job that I was qualified for. Many jobs (even entry level) are looking for tons of experience but that doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. To increase my knowledge in digital marketing, I just finished up my certificate and it was the best thing I decided to do since my passion is social media.
Currently, I LOVE what I am doing. I started a marketing internship in March for a big hospital system near me. I focus on outpatient practices and I’ve learned so much so far. It’s had it’s challenges because I was only in the office for two weeks before we started working from home. So my biggest challenge is not knowing anyone which can be intimidating—especially when you have to present/participate on Zoom calls. I am getting the hang of it though. I think it’ll come with time. So far, I am thriving and my work is up to par. I get everything done ahead of time and other people are coming to me with projects from my office besides my boss. Another thing that is great, is that I get a lot of positive reinforcement and constructive feedback which really helps me.
Healthy Habits
Next, I’ve taken my working out to a whole new level. I am participating in Chloe Ting’s Summer Shredding Challenge. This has brought my endurance to a whole new level. I highly recommend it if you can handle HIIT and strength training exercises. She does have low impact adjustments to most exercises if you are concerned. Another thing I’ve picked up in quarantine is cooking. Since I am moving more I decided to change my eating habits. I’ve learned how to make many things such as my own bagels and healthy pancakes (all gluten free by the way) that I will be sharing in a blog post coming soon.
I am so glad I got to catch you guys up and I look forward to talking to you more often now!
