Hey guys! Boy does it feel like a long time since I’ve written a post. A LOT has transpired since I last talked to you guys. Also, I wanted to share some of my grad photo’s with you! So look above this post to see!
First off, I FREAKING GRADUATED COLLEGE! Like what?! How did they actually happen? And how did I do it on time? I truly did not think it was possible given my circumstances over the years. I was not well a majority of college, and not clear minded at all. But it just shows you if I can do it SO can you. You can do anything you put your mind to, seriously no joke. Trust me. I did have scare though. When grades came out my degree guide said I was missing a class so I didn’t graduate. At my school you can walk across the stage if you have a certain amount of credits and a senior standing, you don’t necessarily have to have completed your degree. So I kind of had a mental break down. But I got it all worked out and I did complete my degree so we’re good. It was a great graduation. Short and sweet. I was so scared to walk across the stage though. I don’t get why I get anxiety when I end up having a lot of people’s attention on me but I do. I was just thinking to myself “don’t trip, don’t trip” and I didn’t thank the lord. I also graduated from the University of Tampa in Tampa, Florida. In May it starts to get ungodly hot. So the walk to the arena from the car was like running a marathon, I felt my make up melting off my face. But luckily it was inside. I graduated with an M.A. in Communications with a concentration in Communication Studies.
So what am I doing now?! A LOT. I didn’t think I would have much going on but boy has my world changed so much. First, I decided to take 3 classes this summer just for fun. Yes, I know I am a nerd. The classes are Instagram for Business, Facebook for Business, and SEO-this I think is crucial along with Instagram. It’s the best way to drive traffic to your site. Next, I am applying to grad school online. I am thinking about going to Loyola University’s online program in Emerging Media. This masters program specializes in social media which is what I have such a passion in. So send me prayers that I get in because it’s something I REALLY want to do! Another thing I am doing is freelancing for a local magazine! I am so excited to do this because it is in my field completely. I am so grateful I get this opportunity and I can’t wait to see how this is going to help my career take off! I was also featured in the magazine because of my blog which was super cool.
I am also starting to feel better which is such a great feeling! My tummy isn’t hurting as much and I don’t feel as sick as I used to. My energy is getting better but still isn’t amazing. So that’s another thing to work on this summer. But all good things are coming my way and I am really grateful because my life has been so hard the past 4 years. It’s so great to see a light at the end of the tunnel. If you go back and read my old posts you’ll see how much I’ve evolved as a person and through my disease. It’s a great example that things do get better you just need to have some faith.
