My name is Sydney and I am a 21-year-old American college student. I suffer health issues that stem from an autoimmune disease. An autoimmune disease is when your body attacks itself. Depending on what part your body attacks itself clarifies which disease you have. I like to talk about what I go through on daily basis to teach people what it’s like to go through a major struggle at a young age. I think it’s important share crucial knowledge learned at a young age.
I am not the typical college student: I don’t go to the bars a lot and I go to bed early. I have maintained a high GPA despite not always being able to physically go to school. I’ve really tried to keep my life as normal as possible. It’s hard keeping up with school and being social on top of being sick. My body has gone through so much at a young age that I suffer from major fatigue.
I originally started a blog when I was just coming off meds from a misdiagnosis and couldn’t function. I was bed bound all of summer 2017 trying all different types of medicines to see what could kill my 3-year-migraine with no breaks. I would suffer major side effects and the only thing to distract me from what was going on in my life was my blog. I learned that blogging was a good outlet to express how you feel and to network with people all over the world. I look forward to keeping up with my blog and seeing what the future holds!
Welcome to my journey!
